Learning Outcomes Students will:
  • Demonstrate fundamental movement skills in combination in open and closed environments
  • Combine developmentally mature skills while participating in movement and fitness activities

  • Perform CT Physical Fitness Assessment (mile run/walk or pacer, curl-ups, push-ups, and sit & reach)
  • Understand FITT program (frequency, intensity, time, and type of exercise)
  • Perform football pass, punt, and catch skills
  • Perform soccer skills (dribbling, stealing, and defense)
  • Complete Dance and Gymnastics written assessment
  • Perform basketball skills with accuracy
  • Demonstrate and understand man defense
  • Perform volleyball skills with accuracy

 

  • Demonstrate controlled stick handling
  • Pass and Shoot with accuracy and force
  • Perform racquet skills (serve, forehand, and backhand)
  • Demonstrate correct Frisbee grips

 

  • Perform mile walk/run or pacer assessment
  • Perform one other CT Physical Fitness Assessment (curl-ups, right angel push-ups, or sit & reach)
  • Perform softball skills with accuracy and force (batting, throwing and catching)
