Student Performance and Learning

Student learning is the ultimate measure of School Change’s success. We are committed to ensuring that our students graduate prepared for college and life. To accomplish these goals, we believe that a sharper focus and greater priority on academic achievement  is needed.

 Student Performance Data

Each year, Connecticut students in grades 3-8 take the Connecticut Master Test (CMT) and students in grade 10 take the Connecticut Academic Performance Test (CAPT). New Haven's steadily improving scores reflect its commitment to closing the achievement gap.

To succeed in the 21st century, NHPS students will need skills beyond those assessed on state tests. Our students will need problem-solving, critical thinking, presentation, and information skills, as well as awareness of global, national, and local issues.
