School Tiering

School Tiering is intended to provide a fair and transparent measure for all stakeholders - teachers, administrators, parents, students, and the community - to understand the performance of our schools, and to mobilize district resources, talent and innovation toward improving lower performing organizations.   A school's tier is determined annually based on student performance and growth, as well as on the school learning environment.

As part of School Tiering, tier I and tier II schools are given more autonomy, while tier III schools can receive intensive support and, in some cases, more extreme intervention.
