Significant Task | UNIT 1:
1. Complete research chart, compare and contrast findings, write a dialogue about the different types or agrarian and pastoral societies. UNIT 2: 1. Complete research chart and then write a CAPT like written argument. |
UNIT 3:
1. Complete a research chart as well as individual writings and graphics to create a newspaper that reflects the time period. UNIT 4: 1. Research, pre write, and devise solutions to the challenges that the empires faced, evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of the Empire and present them in a persuasive way. |
UNIT 5:
1. Define each of the religions, collect images that reflect those definitions, and create posters. Write an paragraphs explaining their definition of religion UNIT 6: 1. Conduct research, create a world map, compare information using the double bubble structure, and choose two of the four regions and write a paragraph comparing and contrasting. |

1. Work in groups to plan, research, design, create, and perform an historically appropriate television news broadcast concerning the relative time period. Can be about technological developments, types of products imported and exported, pastoral or nomadic cultures, arrival or Europeans as new actors in the global trading system, the existence of diaspora communities, and the role played by religious pilgrims and evangelists as cultural ambassadors. |
